The Diamond

Diamonds are the hardest and most valuable gemstones on Earth.

A diamond is composed of pure carbon and reflects all colors of the spectrum. It is a symbol of love, wealth, and abundance.
It is the stone of perfection, purity, illumination, and invincibility.

According to history, India was the sole source of Diamonds until the 18th century. Hindus call it Vajra, the lightning bolt.

The word “diamond” stems from the Greek word “Adamas” – which means “unbreakable.” Also referred to as “Tears of the Gods” or pieces of broken stars that fell on Earth.

Since the Middle Ages, Diamonds have been used for engagement rings to symbolize eternal love and purity.

Diamonds have been used for cutting tools and were thought to protect in warfare. They were not only worn for decoration but worn as talismans to fight evil.

A diamond passes through a lot before it reaches the jewelr's bench. It has been created deep beneath the Earth’s core under severe conditions that involve high pressure and heat.

Today, when looking to buy a diamond, it is important to know The 4 C’s.

Cut = Cut determines how well the diamond’s facets reflect light. How much it will sparkle.

Clarity = The internal and external flawlessness or imperfections that can be seen in the stone. Flawless diamonds are super-rare.

Carat = A diamond’s size is referred to by its total weight. One carat is equal to 100 points.

Color = Not all diamonds are white.

Diamond is the birthstone of April.
