The North Star, also known as the Pole Star, is a highly visible star to the naked eye, and is often deemed as being aligned with the Earth’s axis of rotation. From ancient times to today, the North Star has been used in navigation.

In this tie tack I have set a 1.3mm bright white diamond into sterling silver. The tack was completely hand fabricated. The surface of the silver was treated with a special file to create a cross-hatch texture and features a 14 kt gold stem. This piece measures 3/4" in length and is 1/4" in width.
