The North Star, also known as the Pole Star, is a highly visible star to the naked eye, and is often deemed as being aligned with the Earth’s axis of rotation. From ancient times to today, the North Star has been used in navigation.

In this piece I have star set a 1.3mm bright white diamond into oxidized sterling silver. The pendant was completely hand fabricated. A 14kt gold loop was soldered to the disc before all was oxidized black. The surface of the silver was treated with a special file to create a cross-hatch texture.

The pendant measures 10mm in diameter and hangs from a delicate cable chain.
