URSA MINOR CONSTELLATION EARRING
The word Astrology means the study of the Stars. A constellation is a group of stars that create a picture story. These pictures have appeared in the sky every year at the same time for thousands of years. Here we see Ursa Minor also known as the Little Dipper because its seven brightest stars seem to form the shape of a dipper (ladle or scoop). The star at the end of the dipper handle is Polaris, the North Star. In these earrings I have gypsy set fourteen .9mm cinnamon diamonds into sterling silver. The earrings were completely hand fabricated and feature 14kt ear wires. After construction a cross hatch texture was applied and then all was oxidized black. While the left earring represents Ursa Minor in it's true direction, the right earring is a reverse image of the constellation. The earrings measure 15mm x 10mm and hang 1" from top of ear wire to bottom. *Complimentary gift wrap available upon request.
