Janice Announces Two New Teaching Venues!

For many years Janice has taught classes here in New York City at well known institutions such as The 92nd Street Y and Studio Jewelers. Beginning on March 7, she will bring her teaching skills to Westchetser Community College in White Plains, New York. Later this spring Janice will introduce her bead weaving techniques in a special series of workshops at Hallocville Farms in RiverHead, New York.

Westchester's Center for the Arts will be the location for classes.

"How To Sell On Etsy"

In this class students will explore what it takes to sell on Etsy. Topics of discussion will include creating a shop, making an impression, social media strategies, being part of a community, pricing and building contacts.

Spring

7 sessions

Wednesdays March 7 - April 18 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm.

"Stone Setting"

Build on your skills by adding stones to your jewelry designs; Learn to measure, account for depth and shape, cut a seat, fabricate v-shaped settings and construct bezels for setting stones. The versatile setting techniques such as bezel, gypsy, tube, and prong setting explored will open up a world of design options one can incorporate into jewelry designs. This course will also explore hand-made customized tools for stone setting.

Spring

5 sessions.

Saturdays March 17 to April 14 10:am - 1:00pm.

"Jewelry/Small Objects"

Refine your metalsmithing skills by creating objects that incorporate mechanisms and closures.

Summer

5 Sessions

Tuesdays. May 21 - June 21 Tuesdays 1:00 - 4:00

Tuesdays. June 25 - July 26 Tuesdays 1:00 - 4:00

Also New this spring at Hallocville Farms in RiverHead, NY. Janice will present a series of workshops that explore bead weaving on a loom and bead crochet.
